Experiencing the Healing Power of God Part 2

Experiencing the Healing Power of God – Part 2

“Why am I going through this?” This is the question most people ask when they are going through one ailment or the other, especially an ailment that has defied solutions. In this kind of situation, one can choose to worry or stand on the word of God through which He promised that His healing power is for us. God is all-powerful and all-knowing. Nothing is too difficult for Him. We only have to trust in His word. The Bible says in Jeremiah 30:17 that “But I will restore your health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord”. There is nothing more reassuring than this!

If you have been yearning for the healing power of God for long, below are the divine steps to take to experience this power:

  1. Accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior: This is the first step to experiencing the healing power as it would enable you to have a personal relationship with God. In distress, we may ask “No one knows what it is like. No one understands.” But, the Son of God understands and knows, and accepting Him as your personal savior will guarantee you eternal life, redeem your life from the pit, crown you with love and confession and restore your soul.
  2. Confessing your sins: Unconfessed sin hinders a perfect relationship with God and this has the potential to prevent us from fully experiencing God’s healing power in our lives. The Bible says in Isaiah 59:2 that “But your iniquities have made a separation between you and God.” Imagine being separated from the only One who can make you whole. Coming down to earth, unconfessed sin is a big burden to us and can hurt our health. David experienced this. See Psalm 32:1-5 where David says “When I kept silent, my bones wasted away…your hand was heavy on me…my strength was sapped.”
  3. Speaking the Word of Faith to your sickness: we have to verbalize what we are seeking from God. The Bible says in Mark 11:23 that “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Such a believer who understands the power of speaking the word of God with boldness and faith shall have whatsoever he says. We can say with faith “Lord, I believe you are Healer of my sickness, cure me of everything ailing my health.” Having spoken God’s word, we are taking authority over the ailment and we can confidently believe God for the healing.
  4. Praying for Others: This seems astonishing! Praying for other people when you are the one ailing one who needs prayers? We need to remember that we are called to be focused on the needs of others and not ourselves. The Bible says in Philippians 2:4 that “Let each of you look not only to his own interest, but also to the interests of others”. The story of Job provides us with a great example of someone who received healing when he started to focus on the needs of others. Job had boils and sores all over his body but received restoration when he started considering others. The Bible says in Job 42:10 that:

“When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as this”.

Do you want to experience the healing power of God? If your answer is yes, please know that you have to be born again to experience the divine healing power. To be born again, kindly say this prayer in faith:

Lord, I believe you want the best for me that’s why you sent your son Jesus to die for my sins. Today, I ask that you forgive me, cleanse me by the blood and make me yours. In Jesus name. Amen.
